Here are the top 3 stories in Dunedin today:

  1. Do you include plastic bags in your recycling? The City of Dunedin Florida asks that you DON’T as they become tangled in the machinery at the sorting plant. This can damage machinery, back up the sorting process, and be dangerous for workers who climb into the machinery to remove the plastic bags. Do your part by NOT recycling plastic bags in the blue bin. Avoid single-use plastic bags by refusing them at checkout and bringing your own reusable bags. (Facebook | Dunedin Gov)
  2. The City of Dunedin and the Friends of the Hammock invite residents to a special event at Hammock Park on Saturday, March 12 at 9:00 AM. Attendees will learn about butterflies and backyard butterfly gardening. Limited spots are available. Those interested can register online now. (Facebook| Register Online)
  3. Dunedin Brewery is scheduled to sponsor The 12th Annual Orange Blossom Jamboree this spring. The five-day music festival will begin on May 18. So far the lineup consists of 53 bands, live art, and performers across three stages with shows designed for kids, teens, and adults. The event will be held at Sertoma Youth Ranch in Brooksville and include food, beer, and other vendors. Tickets are on sale now. (Music Fest News | Orange Blossom Jamboree)
