Alba Mineral Resources PLC on Monday reported improved test results from the pilot processing plant of its Clogau-St David’s gold mine in Wales.

The London-listed mining company said concentrates produced returned grades of up to 461 grams per metric ton and significantly exceeded previous assay results.

Chairman George Frangeskides said the pilot plant continues to operate very well, and that Alba plans to continue bulk sampling activities later this year once the current drilling campaign has been completed.

Shares at 0731 GMT were up 7.8% at 0.28 pence.
