Atria New City is located on a five-acre site at 269 North Main Street, minutes from Main Street shops and restaurants. The community was developed by Capitol Seniors Housing, with interior design by Meyer Design Inc. It is Atria’s sixth community in the Hudson Valley, along with Atria Briarcliff Manor, Atria on the Hudson, Atria Norwood, Atria Waldwick and Atria Woodlands.

The three-story, 70,000-square-foot community features 80 apartments: 56 for assisted living and 24 in a dedicated memory care neighborhood with specialized services for individuals living with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.

Key benefits of living at Atria New City include expanded telehealth and Atria’s COVID-19 testing partnership with Mayo Clinic Laboratories. In addition, Atria’s proprietary well-being mobile app communicates daily events, dining menus and important announcements in real time. The company’s Quality Enhancement (QE) program, operating throughout the U.S. and Canada, sets an industry standard for internal quality checks. Atria’s QE program addresses all regulatory standards and goes beyond to encompass customer service and COVID-19 safety measures. Individuals may learn more about Atria’s COVID-19 response measures and vaccination rollout at AtriaSafeTogether.com.

“We know what’s important for the well-being of older adults is to remain connected to others and their community in meaningful ways,” said Brian McGuire, Senior Vice President at Atria Senior Living. “Atria New City is a beautiful community where residents enjoy exceptional service, amenities and care.”

Amenities at Atria New City include a movie theater, fitness center, salon and spa, lounge, library and wellness center offering health check-ups and monitoring. Other conveniences include housekeeping, concierge service and scheduled transportation. Residents also enjoy chef-prepared meals at several dining venues: a restaurant with table service, café and private dining room. The community features outdoor amenities including patio seating outside the restaurant, a courtyard, and beautifully landscaped walking paths for exercise.

Through Atria’s Engage Life® events program, residents enjoy daily opportunities for continual learning, fitness, connection, personal growth and fulfillment, all of which have been adapted for safety. Safe, socially distanced events include conference call book clubs, guided meditation, indoor gardening and a variety of creative art projects. The community is also offering in-apartment dining options with room service for those who prefer extra safety measures.

“We’re excited to bring a top-quality senior living community to New City, an amazing community where residents want to live for the remainder of their lives,” said Dave Ennis, Director of Development, Capitol Seniors Housing. “We’re very proud and thankful to everyone, especially local leaders, who worked with us on this amazing project. Residents and visitors of Atria New City will feel as though they’re in an exclusive hotel offering every amenity that seniors want and deserve, along with a vibrant social life encouraged by an extraordinary calendar of events, activities and outings.”
