Authorities: Ex-employee throws knives at former boss at Salisbury assisted living facility – WBTV
SALISBURY, N.C. (WBTV) – Officials say a former employee threw a knife at their former boss, slicing the boss’s leg at an assisted living facility in Salisbury Wednesday morning.
Police responded to a reported stabbing at the facility in Salisbury. According to police, the incident took place just after 7:30 a.m. at the Trinity Oaks facility in the 700 block of Klumac Road.
Investigators said an employee who was fired on Tuesday came back to the property and damaged her boss’ car before throwing knives at the individual.
According to law enforcement, the man did suffer a minor cut on his leg.
“Earlier this morning in the parking lot of Trinity Oaks, there was an incident involving a former employee throwing a knife and striking a Trinity Oaks teammate in the leg. The former employee then fled the campus,” said Trinity Oaks Director of Communications and Marketing Amy Estridge. “Police were called and quickly dispatched to the scene, and the team member received medical care for a cut to the leg. Trinity Oaks was locked down out of an abundance of caution as the safety of the Trinity Oaks residents and teammates is paramount. Please be in prayer for all of those involved.”
Officials say a suspect is in custody, but have not released a name or any charges yet.
