Falconer bowlers sweep Silver Creek boys, girls | News, Sports, Jobs – Evening Observer

SILVER CREEK — The Falconer boys and girls bowling teams both swept Silver Creek 4-0 during Monday’s Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 matches at Hanover Lanes.

The Golden Falcons boys team (11-5) set a linescore of 827-849-777-2,453 to beat the Black Knights (0-16), who had a 724-765-650-2,139.

Nic Houston led the way for Falconer with a 181-213-214 for a 608 series, Josiah Sprague added 166-176-214 for a 556 series and Javier Gonzalez rolled 160-160 with a 448 series.

Silver Creek was paced by Nate Barlette-Dye with a 157-168-182 for a 508 series and Kayden Eggleston had a high game of 190.

The Falconer girls (7-5) rolled a linescore of 647-808-653-2,108 to outpace the Silver Creek girls (0-16), who finished with a 543-490-602-1,635.

Hannah Cross led the way for Falconer with game of 151 and 213 on her way to a 471 series while Amelia Sprague rolled games of 150 and 171 for a 460 series.

Silver Creek was led by Laneya Olson with games of 144 and 148 for a 418 series while Emily Barlette-Dye had a high game of 157.

FREDONIA BOYS WIN SHOWDOWN

Fredonia’s boys beat Dunkirk 3-1 in Division 1 action at Lucky Lanes.

The Hillbillies (9-7) finished with a linescore of 999-1,004-791-2,794. Eighth-grader Ryan Kelly led the Hillbillies with games of 202 and 204 on his way to a 572; Nate Manzella had a 201 game and a 560 series; Sam Kawski added a 212 on his way to a 556 series; Owen Rush rolled a 233 game and 555 series; and Zach Kawski chipped in with a 224 game for a 544 series.

Dunkirk (12-4) rolled a linescore of 849-917-973-2,739. The Marauders were led by Robert Kozlowski with games of 225 and 234 for a 644 series; Jaxson Pencek finished the day with a 254 high game; and Devin Farrington had a 537 series with a high game of 183.

The Dunkirk girls swept Fredonia in a very close match.

The Marauders (15-1) finished with a linescore of 768-848-765-2,381 total. They were led by Hayden Cerrie, who rolled her career-high series of 603 with games of 173, 204 and 226. Summer Clark had a 216 game and a 516 series. Paige Mullen added games of 168 and 178.

Fredonia’s linescore was 751-832-762-2,345. The Hillbillies (9-7) were led by Gillian Reed with games of 157-194-169 for a 520 series. Allie Cook added games of 169 and 167. Londyn Wilmot had games of 163 and 164. Erin Schrantz rolled a 170.
