Fredric J. Eby, 83, Bremen, died 8:54 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, at Miller’s Merry Manor Assisted Living, Wakarusa.

He was born May 5, 1938, in St. Joseph County, to Charles E. and Mildred “Millie” (Barkey) Eby. On Dec. 29, 1984, he married Sandy Eby.

Surviving are three children, Annette Sharkey, Mishawaka, Ronald (Jennifer) Eby, Osceola, and Angela (Michael) Borman, Del Ray Beach, Florida; three step-children, Staci (Tim Kulczar) Hendricks, Bremen, Corky Hendricks, Bremen, and Misti Hendricks, Plymouth; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and siblings Donald Eby, Centerville, Michigan, Margaret Yoder, Wyatt and Merlin (Kathy) Eby, South Bend.

Preceding him in death are his parents, wife Sandy and a brother-in-law, Gordon Yoder.

Fred served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1962. He was a farmer and enjoyed bowling.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. with the funeral service following at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5, at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. Burial will be at Olive (West) Cemetery at a later date.
