HS Flute Ensemble to present ‘Music From Around The World’ – Hot Springs Sentinel

The Hot Springs Flute Ensemble, under the direction of Carlos Feller, will present “Music From Around The World” for the residents of West Shores Retirement Center, 2607 Albert Pike, at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Visitors are welcome; there is no charge for admission. Masks may be required.

Music Selections include “Eight Folk Songs” from England, Holland, Norway, Germany, Finland, France, Belgium and America. Featured numbers are “The Spanish Love Song” and the “Yorkshire Ballad.” South American and several other international music selections fill out the program.

The ensemble consists of C flutes, piccolos, alto, bass, and contra bass flutes. The group is in its 39th performance year and is a registered nonprofit organization. It performs for weddings, churches, receptions, retirement communities and also performs an annual fundraiser for the Humane Society of Garland County.
