Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. said Monday that gold sales increased in the second quarter as the company reached record production in the period.
The Canadian gold miner said it produced 379,195 ounces of gold in the second quarter of the year, compared with 329,770 ounces in the prior-year period.
Consolidated gold sales in the quarter reached 364,575 ounces of gold, up from 341,390 ounces a year ago, Kirkland Lake Gold said.
The company said it is on target to reach its full-year production guidance of between 1.3 million ounces and 1.4 million ounces of gold.
“At June 30, 2021, all three of our cornerstone assets were on track to achieve their full-year 2021 production guidance, with Fosterville positioned to potentially beat its guidance of 400,000 to 425,000 ounces,” President and Chief Executive Officer Tony Makuch said.
