Norma M. Olepa – The Arenac County Independent

Mrs. Olepa, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 21, 2021, at Eden Fields Assisted Living following a lengthy illness.
Norma was born in Pinconning on October 15, 1927, to the late Louis & Myrtle (Valley) Rashotte.
Norma married John Olepa on June 3, 1950, at St. Michael Church, he preceded her in death on July 17, 2002. Norma is survived by her daughter Deb and Don Stephen and a brother-in-law Edwin Olepa.
Norma was a former member of St. Agnes Church, St. Agnes Rosary Society, and a member of Holy Trinity Parish. She enjoyed crocheting, painting, cooking, canning and especially running the roads going shopping.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Thelma Lahar and Elaine Klump and a brother: Marvin Rashotte.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday August 25, 2021, at 11 a.m. from Holy Trinity Parish-St. Michael Church with Rev. Fr. Kevin Maksym presiding with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery. Family will receive family and friends on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Wednesday 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. On Wednesday Mrs. Olepa will be at church for the 11 a.m. Mass.

Deb would like to extend a Thank you to the caregivers at Eden Fields Assisted Living and to the Care Team Hospice, especially Genna, for the wonderful care given to Mom for time with them.
