Richard Bronson Obituary (2021) – Scranton, PA – Scranton Times – Legacy.com

Richard “Dickus” Bronson, West Scranton, passed away peacefully Thanksgiving afternoon with his family by his side in the Allied Services Hospice Inpatient Unit.

Born in New York, he was the son of the late James and Grace Moss Bronson.

He was a supervisor of maintenance for NDC Senior Housing in Olyphant and Jessup. He will be forever remembered for the Circle Drive In Flea Market and being the mayor of Snyder Avenue.

He leaves behind his loving companion, Jill “Jillus” Zayac; children, Phillip, Grace, Xavier and Spoon Bronson; grandsons, Devin and Ryan; two brothers, Tommy and Robert Bronson; nieces and nephews; countless friends.

All attending are asked to not dress formally. Blue jeans are requested.

Words of remembrance will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, at 5 p.m. in the Vanston and James Funeral Home, 1401 Ash St., Scranton.

Friends may call Saturday from 4 p.m. until time of the words of remembrance.
