The Alzheimer’s Association California Central Coast chapter recently named Ronda Wilkin to its board of directors.
Wilkin is an executive with more than three decades in the health and human services field, including a dozen years in industries directly serving seniors.
With an understanding of the specialized needs of families dealing with memory impairment issues, Wilkin serves as the administrator at Silverado Thousand Oaks Memory Care Community and is a certified dementia practitioner.
Before becoming a board member, Wilkin volunteered with the Alzheimer’s Association for two decades, serving on committees for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and supporting other fundraisers.
She started her career in this field after seeing her grandmother care for her grandfather, who was living with Alzheimer’s. Other family members have died of the disease.
