Strong gold-silver drilled at Western BRX – North of 60 Mining News

Including 2 meters of 24.4 g/t gold, 805 g/t silver at Klaza zone North of 60 Mining News – February 11, 2022

Rockhaven Resources Ltd. Feb. 7 said the latest batch of assay results from the 2021 drill program at Klaza show the potential to expand and upgrade the resource within Western BRX Zone on the gold-silver property in southern Yukon.

A 2020 preliminary economic assessment for Klaza outlines plans for a mine that would produce roughly 750,000 ounces of gold and 13.8 million oz of silver over 12-years.

This scoping level study is based on 4.46 million metric tons of indicated resource averaging 4.8 grams per metric ton (686,000 oz) gold and 98 g/t (14.1 million oz) silver; plus 5.71 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 2.8 g/t (507,000 oz) gold and 76 g/t (13.9 million oz) silver outlined at the Klaza project so far.

Western BRX hosts 1.27 million metric tons of the indicated resource averaging 8.4 g/t (341,000 oz) gold and 115 g/t (4.7 million oz) silver; and 1.34 million metric tons of inferred resource averaging 4 g/t (172,000 oz) gold and 82 g/t (3.6 million oz) silver.

Highlights from 10 holes drilled at Western BRX last year include:

2.02 meters averaging 24.38 g/t gold, 805 g/t silver, 6.9% zinc, and 6.7% lead in hole KL-21-526.

6.59 meters averaging 5.25 g/t gold, 143 g/t silver, 1.2% zinc, and 0.9% lead in hole KL-21-527.

2.46 meters averaging 11.04 g/t gold, 202 g/t silver, 1.3% zinc, and 1.1% lead in hole KL-21-529.

0.94 meters averaging 52.6 g/t gold, 279 g/t silver, 1% zinc, and 0.7% lead in hole KL-21-532.

2.41 meters averaging 10.74 g/t gold, 100 g/t silver, 0.4% zinc, and 0.9% lead in hole KL-21-536.

“The majority of the 2021 drill results from the Western BRX Zone returned better grades than the average for the mineral resources, and over significant vein widths,” said Rockhaven Resources CEO Matt Turner. “We will be incorporating these results into an updated mineral resource estimate later this spring.”

Overall, Rockhaven completed 14,256 meters of drilling in 72 holes during its 2021 program at Klaza. The objectives of this drilling were to upgrade and expand the existing resource; infill drilling aimed at recategorizing waste rock within existing resource areas; and test exploration targets outside of the known mineral resource areas.

In December, Rockhaven reported assays from 29 of the holes drilled last year, which included results from drilling in and around mineral resources at the Central BRX and Central Klaza zones, as well as from exploration at the Western BRX Extension, Western Chevron, and Kelly Porphyry targets.
