BET is serving up double the Tyler Perry this week, and we’re not mad about it. The network will air the season premiere of Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” and “Assisted Living” sitcoms on Tuesday evening. You can also watch the shows on FuboTV, Philo and Sling.
Both shows announced renewals earlier this year. “House of Payne” premieres Tuesday, May 25, at 9 p.m. EST. (6 p.m. PDT) and “Assisted Living” follows at 9:30 p.m. EST (6:30 PDT).
While both shows were created by the multi-talented actor and director, each program has its own storyline and cast.
“House of Payne” is a comedy series about a multigenerational, working class family who experiences all of life’s struggles with faith, love and most importantly humor. The show, starting its eighth season this week, features retired fire chief Curtis Payne (LaVan Davis) and his wife, Ella (Cassi Davis Patton). Allen Payne, Lance Gross, Larramie “Doc” Shaw and Keshia Knight Pulliam also star in the sitcom. Ahmarie Holmes and Quin Walters will join the cast as recurring characters.
“Assisted Living” returns for its second season Tuesday evening. The show features Mr. Brown (David Mann), Cora (Tamela Mann), and the gang as they open their assisted living facility with a hilarious shuffle of characters who live with them.
You can watch Tyler Perry’s “House of Payne” and “Assisted Living” on fuboTV, a streaming service that offers you access to your favorite TV shows, live sports events and much more. There’s a 7-day free trial when you sign up.
