LEICESTER, Mass. – A fire broke out at a building at a housing authority complex in Leicester early Tuesday morning.

The call for the two-alarm fire came in around 4 a.m. from the Sunset Gardens housing complex located at 1073 Main Street.

According to the town’s director of emergency management, Jason Main, 26 families were displaced.  The families were moved to another building in the complex while the red cross searches for temporary housing. No one was injured.

The Leicester fire department says the cause is still under investigation, but they are leaning towards an electrical issue.
